Karon Beach

Although Karon Beach Phuket receives less hype Patong Beach nearby, many visitors consider it one of the best resorts in Phuket. Karon has soft sand, clear water and plenty of space for relaxing in the sun. Because it is so large (nearly two miles in diameter), which never feels crowded, even in high season. There are many places to stay and things to do if you removed not at the beach, but is much quieter and less built very lively Patong Beach. If you want to enjoy the scene or shopping nightlife of Patong, however, only a few miles.

Move Karon

Karon Beach is one of the largest on the island, the beach and the surrounding area is large enough that you might not want to go from one place to another. Rent a bike or take one of the many mini-buses run the streets to get from your hotel to the beach or shopping. If you must go to Patong a tuk-tuk or taxi which will cost around 200 baht for the ride take.

Directions to Karon

Karon Beach is located on the west coast of Phuket, Patong beach, south, and if you are coming from the airport, take a taxi for about 350 baht on one side or take the equivalent of the island, the van ride through about 150 baht. No direct public bus from the airport to the beach, but if you do not mind change nothing, by public bus from the airport to the bus station in the city of Phuket, then change to a bus to Karon.

Karon has a good selection of resorts, hotels and inns for every budget.

What to expect:

Karon Beach is a sand beach sweeping, long backed by a great people who are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. It is not as strong or as lively Patong Beach, but the bars in the center of Karon center can be noisy at night.
