Hua Hin beach, just a few hours by car, train or bus from Bangkok, is one of the most popular beaches in Thailand. The beach itself is a long, flat stretch of sand that slopes gently into the sea and is surrounded by a small town with lots of hotels, resorts and guesthouses, restaurants and drink.
Getting around Hua Hin
Hua Hin is good, small enough to not need anything
to move more than half a meter. If you want to venture further away from the beaches and the surrounding areas, you should hire a car or a motorcycle.
Getting to Hua Hin
Hua Hin is very easy to get from Bangkok. There are daily trains from Bangkok Hua Lumpong station with about three hours. There are also several public buses daily from the bus stop south of Bangkok Victory Monument (minibus).
Overnight:
Hua Hin is full of five-star international chains cheap guesthouses. During the high season make sure you book in advance if you have a better selection options.
Hotels in Hua Hin
What to expect:
Hua Hin attracts many local tourists and many Europeans, and in high season the beach are to be packed. Around the city there are probably as many German and Italian restaurants, like those of Thailand.
What to do:
If you are not going to be near the beach or by the pool, you should ride! In Hua Hin, there are always horses available
rent and performs to take you if you are not an experienced rider. You can also go hiking in the nearby mountains or a little further to one of the most beautiful national parks, Sam Roi Yot.
