1. The Grand Palace is closed
Bangkok Grand Palace is open daily, including holidays. Probably just for special occasions, twice in the last ten years. But for some reason want to say criminals tourists such as the Grand Palace (or National Museum and Wat Po) is closed for a special occasion, probably to allow them to take tourists elsewhere. Rest assured, the Grand Palace is open! And if someone on the street or even your guide tells you that a site you will visit is for vacation, diplomatic visit, or any other special event closed, do not take their word for it. Attractions rarely leave their published hours.
