There are hundreds of interesting Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai. Some are of historical importance that some beautiful works of art, some of which are very popular with the local Buddhists and some foreign offered the opportunity to learn about Buddhism. Here are five worth a visit.
If you go, make sure that a temple (wat called in Thai) is not only a tourist attraction. Most Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai are there to carry the Buddhist community, which is expected to be quiet and modest clothing to serve. Almost all Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai are free or ask for a donation.
